Granite Telecommunications has launched SIM360, a multi-carrier data SIM platform intended to simplify how enterprises deploy and manage domestic IoT and fixed wireless access connections. Available now, the service places carrier-direct profiles from all three U.S. Tier 1 wireless providers on one physical SIM card.
The approach gives customers one commercial relationship, invoice, support channel and management interface through Granite. Devices can access multiple carrier-direct, non-roaming networks without requiring an enterprise to negotiate and administer a separate agreement with each wireless provider. The company did not identify the three carriers by name in its announcement.
Developed with Thales, SIM360 uses the GSMA SGP.32 eSIM architecture alongside proprietary, patent-pending orchestration technology. Customers can select, activate, deactivate and switch carrier profiles remotely through the Enterprise Mobility Management platform, known as GEMM. That control extends across the device lifecycle, from initial provisioning to later changes in coverage or performance requirements.
Carrier choice at installation does not necessarily remain optimal for the life of a connected device. Network conditions vary by geography, building construction, congestion and local outages. A fleet may also move through areas where different carriers have stronger service. Remote profile changes can reduce the need to dispatch technicians simply to replace SIM cards, although enterprises will still need to validate device compatibility and network behavior for their particular deployments.
Automated multi-carrier failover is a central part of the platform's pitch. If a device loses access because of an outage, congestion or a coverage gap, SIM360 can transition to another available carrier profile. For a kiosk, remote office or field device, that may help shorten an interruption. For large fleets and supply chain systems, it can also reduce dependence on a single network footprint. How quickly failover works under different real-world conditions will be an important evaluation point for buyers.
The launch arrives as cellular IoT moves deeper into mainstream enterprise operations. IoT Analytics reported that global cellular IoT connections reached about 4.7 billion in 2025 and forecast 9.2 billion by 2030, representing a 14.3% compound annual growth rate. Meanwhile, Coherent Market Insights expects North America to account for 35.7% of the global eSIM market in 2026, supported by 5G adoption and expanding enterprise IoT deployments. This release adds a carrier-direct domestic option to a market that already includes offerings from KORE Wireless, Aeris and Telit Cinterion.
Not every IoT workload has the same connectivity profile. SIM360 is positioned for high-bandwidth IoT and fixed wireless access, but many battery-powered sensors rely on lower-power technologies such as the 3GPP specifications for LTE-M and NB-IoT. Procurement teams should examine supported radio technologies, device certification, coverage requirements, failover policies, latency and total data consumption rather than treating multi-carrier access as a substitute for deployment planning.
There is an operational argument too. The provider states that carrier-certified profiles can shorten device qualification and deployment timelines, while usage aggregation provides consolidated visibility across networks. One agreement and a dedicated U.S.-based support team may also appeal to organizations already using its access, UCaaS, mobile data, SD-WAN or managed network services. According to published company data, it currently manages 1.75 million voice and data lines across more than 650,000 locations and serves more than two-thirds of Fortune 100 companies.
Still, control is the primary differentiator being emphasized. The company's chief executive officer noted that SIM360 is designed to let customers deploy faster, optimize performance and support business continuity through access to several carrier-direct networks. For enterprises assessing the platform, the practical questions will concern policy granularity, failover timing, reporting, certification and economics at scale. If those elements hold up in production, SIM360 could make multi-network resilience less of a custom integration project and more of a centrally managed connectivity function.
