Halo is broadening its professional services automation platform with AI agents, predictive ticket triage and Model Context Protocol connectivity, giving managed service providers more ways to coordinate service delivery from one interface.

A company executive outlined the offerings at The Channel Company’s XChange August conference in Washington D.C. The UK-based PSA vendor is also lowering its prices. Existing partners saw prices fall at the beginning of 2026, the executive said, and the vendor has promised further reductions after reaching certain growth milestones.

The central product move is the new AI Studio, which was released several weeks ago. MSPs can use the capability to create, configure and deploy agents directly through the user interface, choosing the model and instructions associated with each agent. Potential applications include projects, service operations, sales, customer success management, reporting and quarterly business reviews.

“You can basically create AI agents, and you can create as many as you wish for projects, for service, for sales, for CSM, for reporting, for QBRs,” the executive said. “You can decide what model it uses, you can give it prompts and instructions and you can deploy that within the UI.”

That breadth matters. Many MSPs have experimented with assistants that summarize tickets or draft responses, but the platform is positioning AI Studio as an operating layer for multiple business processes. The practical question is whether those agents can move beyond suggestions and reliably complete controlled actions.

MCP is intended to help close that gap. The open protocol gives AI applications a standardized way to retrieve context and interact with external systems. Microsoft made MCP generally available in Microsoft Copilot Studio in 2025, providing enterprise validation. Roblox has also documented MCP as an open standard for secure communication between AI systems and applications, reinforcing its cross-platform role.

Vendor guidance says partners can build native MCP servers inside the PSA system and connect agents including Claude, Copilot and Codex. In an MSP setting, that could allow an agent to gather ticket history, check information in another application and initiate an approved workflow without forcing a technician to jump repeatedly between screens. OAuth 2.0 can support controlled authorization where compatible connections are available.

“The world is going for service delivery where you’re going to be under a single UI on your service desk,” the executive said. “Your techs haven’t got to leave that screen, and they’ll be able to essentially bring up, execute, fix issues across an orchestration layer across all of your toolsets.”

Centralization is useful only if MSPs retain oversight. Agents that can execute actions need carefully scoped permissions, clear approval points and auditable records. MSPs will also need to test how agents respond to incomplete ticket data, conflicting instructions or unusual customer environments. MCP simplifies connectivity, but it does not remove those operational questions.

Automated AI Triage addresses a narrower, high-volume problem. It can examine incoming tickets, compare them with historical incidents and determine categories and urgency. The company sees that historical analysis as a foundation for predicting demand and automating routine requests.

“The idea is to fix it before they feel it,” the executive said. “You should have an analytics engine that understands previous work to predict future work.”

Another component, domain separation, is aimed at MSPs serving larger accounts. It lets an MSP provide separate environments to customers while preserving connectivity through two-way API ticketing. That structure could support stronger customer-level separation, more tailored workflows and new recurring-revenue services without disconnecting those environments from the MSP’s broader operation.

Early partner activity suggests the technology is already moving into practical experimentation. The president and CEO of Wichita, Kansas-based Pileus Technologies said the team is setting up MCP servers and tailoring its environment around internal processes.

“There’s just so many things that we’re tweaking in our instance,” the CEO told CRN. “I mean, it’s helping tremendously.”

The larger shift is from AI as a service-desk add-on toward agents that coordinate work across an MSP’s technology stack. Halo’s opportunity is to make that orchestration accessible inside the PSA system technicians already use. For partners, the payoff could be less repetitive administration and more consistent service delivery, provided deployment remains measured, permission-aware and grounded in real operating procedures.
