Key Takeaways

  • Purdicom increased annual sales by 18% to £45.4m, while operating profit rose 12.4% to £1.9m.
  • Cloudera, Mistral, EKINOPS, PacketFront Software solutions, 10ZiG Technology and LG Business Solutions Europe are using partnerships to address sovereignty, resilience and endpoint management.
  • HYCU R-Cloud for Azure DevOps extends data protection beyond source-code repositories to interconnected project components.

Purdicom, Cloudera, HYCU and 10ZiG Technology are pursuing different parts of the enterprise technology market, but their latest developments point to a common theme: customers want more control over data, infrastructure and operational risk. The ITEuropa markets round-up also highlights how specialist distribution, sovereign AI, network automation, managed endpoints and application-level recovery are converging around that demand.

Purdicom supplied the clearest financial measure of momentum. For the year ended 31 December, Purdicom increased sales by 18% to £45.4m. Operating profit advanced 12.4% to £1.9m, according to its preliminary results. The sales growth outpaced the rise in operating profit, suggesting that the distributor is expanding while dealing with the familiar margin pressures of the channel. Even so, double-digit profit growth gives Purdicom additional room to invest in technical expertise and partner support.

Cloudera and Mistral, meanwhile, have formed a strategic partnership focused on "secure, sovereign AI". Cloudera's hybrid data and AI platform will be combined with Mistral's sovereign AI models, allowing enterprises to build, customise and operate AI systems using private data across cloud, on-premises, edge, sovereign and air-gapped environments. Sensitive information does not need to leave the organisation's control.

Model performance is only one part of an enterprise AI decision. Where inference takes place, who has access to the underlying data and how costs behave at scale can be equally influential. The Cloudera and Mistral approach is designed to keep AI applications inside existing security and governance boundaries, while giving customers flexibility over deployment and model customisation. IDC projects that the global big data and analytics software market will reach roughly $167 billion in revenue by 2028, providing a substantial market backdrop for hybrid platforms.

Network sovereignty is also shaping the EKINOPS partnership with PacketFront Software solutions. EKINOPS will provide the physical network edge, while PacketFront BECS supplies orchestration, automation and service management. The European pairing is positioned as a commercially competitive alternative to incumbent networking stacks, particularly for service providers concerned about delivery constraints, costs and geopolitical vendor exposure.

Why does the dual-vendor element matter? Service providers often want to reduce dependence on a single technology stack without creating an integration burden of their own. EKINOPS and PacketFront Software solutions say their combination can support greater resilience, lower operational risk, faster deployment and stronger automation maturity. Those claims will ultimately depend on implementation, but the division between edge infrastructure and software-led orchestration is clear.

At the endpoint, 10ZiG Technology has partnered with LG Business Solutions Europe to widen the cloud hardware available to 10ZiG customers across Europe. 10ZiG RepurpOS will be offered on LG All-in-One Cloud Devices and cloud-ready laptops. Customers can select devices around user and application requirements while retaining a consistent operating environment, centralised administration and security controls. That consistency can be useful in VDI and DaaS estates where protocols such as PCoIP and HDX place different demands on endpoint performance.

HYCU is tackling another operational gap through the general availability of HYCU R-Cloud for Azure DevOps in the HYCU Marketplace. The service provides granular protection and recovery for Azure DevOps, covering more than repositories. The chief product officer at HYCU pointed to pipeline definitions, process templates and wikis as interconnected components that can leave a restored project unusable if they are missed. HYCU's broader position in SaaS protection has also been examined by Blocks & Files following the 2025-2026 IDC MarketScape assessment.

That wider recovery model reflects the growing importance of treating development platforms as complete business systems rather than collections of files. It can also support control programmes based on resources such as NIST SP 800-53 Rev.5, where recovery, access control and system integrity sit within a broader risk-management structure. Across these announcements, control is the connecting thread, whether it concerns AI data, network suppliers, endpoint estates or the project components needed to resume software delivery.
